According to Amazon officials, the company is waiting for the final regulatory approval to start its long-awaited concept of drone deliveries.

According to their words in a blog post, “The promise of drone delivery has often felt like science fiction. But later this year, Amazon customers living in Lockeford, California, will become among the first to receive Prime Air deliveries “

Amazon also made it clear that the program is to deliver in the backyards of people of the small town Lockeford which is having a total population of almost 4000 people.

According to the officials, the drones are capable of flying out of sight also and hence don’t need to be monitored visually by eyes. They’ll be tracked by sensors so that they won’t get hit by other aircraft or flying birds.
