Drone Deliveries by Amazon are about to start this year.
According to Amazon officials, the company is waiting for the final regulatory approval to start its long-awaited concept of drone deliveries.
According to the announcement Lockeford, a Californian town will be the first to witness the latest concept of drone delivery. The users can get their deliverables delivered through drones after signing up.

The industry leader in the field of logistics has promised drone deliveries for years but is facing some initiation issues.

According to the officials, after the successful deliveries in Lockeford, they’re going to be expanding their services in other regions too.
According to their words in a blog post, “The promise of drone delivery has often felt like science fiction. But later this year, Amazon customers living in Lockeford, California, will become among the first to receive Prime Air deliveries “

Further, it was said that “Their feedback about Prime Air will help us create a service that will safely scale to meet the needs of customers everywhere.”

Amazon also made it clear that the program is to deliver in the backyards of people of the small town Lockeford which is having a total population of almost 4000 people.

According to the officials, the drones are capable of flying out of sight also and hence don’t need to be monitored visually by eyes. They’ll be tracked by sensors so that they won’t get hit by other aircraft or flying birds.

Previously the commitments by the officials were about launching drone delivery within months. Amazon was also accused of using this as an attractive bait to promote their Prime membership services.

In December 2016, a successful trial was conducted where the drone delivered the package in 13 minutes. The trial was conducted in Cambridge UK.

After that, the news of partnerships with the US retailers Walmart FedEx and UPS was also in the headline.

The whole country is waiting to witness the first-ever drone delivery in the world.
